Principal David Allen

Principal - David Allen

David Allen is in his eighth year as principal and completing his 26th year at Shelby High School. Allen served as assistant principal for 10 years and is a former English teacher, Yearbook advisor, and tennis coach. He is a Shelby High graduate ('86) and married his high school sweetheart, Amy Ledford. The Allen's have three children, D-Ray (class of '14), Michael (class of '17) and Katie (class of '21). Allen holds degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill (Broadcast Journalism) and UNC-Charlotte (English) and a Master of Arts degree from Gardner-Webb University (School Administration).

Assistant Principal - Megan Fuller

My name is Megan Fuller, and I have been a part of the Shelby High School Administration since 2011. I love being a Golden Lion! I am a graduate of Bandys High School. I earned a BA in English and a Master of Arts degree in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. I taught English at Crest High School for 10 years prior to coming to Shelby High. I am married to Ben Fuller, and we have two children, Gavin and Gracie. I look forward to this year at Shelby High!

Assistant Principal - Andrea Richardson

My name is Andrea Nance Richardson and I have been a part of the Shelby High School Faculty  as a Exceptional Children’s teacher since 2013. I am a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School. I earned my BS in Therapeutic Recreation at Winston-Salem State University and Master of Arts degree in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. I taught at Bessemer City Middle School for 10 years before becoming a  Shelby High Golden Lion in 2013. I am married to Lorenzo Richardson and we have two children, Chris and Zoi.

Assistant Principal - Richard Myers

My name is Richard Myers and this is my first year with Shelby High School.  I am excited to be a member of the Cleveland County Schools Team and proud to be a Golden Lion!  I am a graduate of Radford University in Virginia where I earned my BS in Social Sciences.  I also hold a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University, which is based out of Chicago, IL.  I grew up in Virginia, but have spent the last 16 years of my career in Orlando, Florida; 11 of those in the classroom and as a Dean of the EC department with Dr. Phillips High School and five years at Apopka High School as an Assistant Principal.  I look forward to the many great experiences and events so many have told me this school has to offer!
