Assistant Principal - Judith Ayala
Hello! I’m delighted to join the Shelby High community and the Golden Lions administrative team. I am a graduate from the University of North Carolina Charlotte, and earned my Master’s in School Administration through the Principal Fellows Program. I also hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir‑Rhyne University and bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Religious Studies.
With five years as a school counselor and over eleven years—and counting—practicing as a psychotherapist, I bring a strong background in both education and mental health to my role. Outside of work, I’m a proud parent of Ashley and Isaac, and grandparent to Alfonso.
